Mass Schedule

Liturgy at St. Joseph Church is joyful, reverent, and always welcoming.   We are committed as a Catholic Christian faith community to recognizing the Eucharistic liturgy as the “source and summit” of our lives together in faith.  We strive to better embody the “full, active, and conscious participation” in the liturgy that we have been called to by the Second Vatican Council.  At St. Joseph Church you will find engaging, relevant and passionate homilies, music that enhances the celebration and that you can sing, and a warm, diverse congregation always ready to welcome visitors.

There are many special liturgical celebrations throughout each year.   In addition to the Filipino Mass, which is celebrated each first Sunday of the month at 2:30, we offer many beautiful and special liturgies during the course of a year.   Especially loved by our community are the Healing Mass (Mass of the Anointing of the Sick), All Souls’ Day Mass of Remembrance, and sacramental celebrations for children receiving their First Eucharist, and Confirmation.  Major Christian feasts such as Christmas, Pentecost and Easter are carefully planned by our Liturgy Committee and parish ministerial staff and warmly celebrated by our whole community.  Annually, the highlight of our communal worship life is our celebration of the Easter Triduum, which culminates in the Easter Vigil service when we sacramentally initiate the new members of our community who have prepared through the RCIA (Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults) process.   Our worship life together at St. Joseph Church moves us as a community through the liturgical year that constantly forms us in faith and deepens our commitment to serve God and one another.

CHILDREN

Every Sunday, children in Kindergarten and above are invited to hear the Gospel presented especially for them in our Liturgy of the Word with Children at 9:00 a.m. Mass.  No pre-registration is needed.  Parents are welcome to come pray and hear the scripture readings with their children. Participants return to their pews in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Pre-schoolers may attend our Pray and Play session during the first part of the 9:00 a.m. Mass.  Parents are welcome to help escort their toddlers as the older children leave.  This group meets downstairs for Gospel based activities and returns to church with the older children.

Children are, of course, welcome at all Masses.
